Sheaf

Privacy Policy

The short version: Sheaf collects nothing, and your files never leave your Mac.

Who this covers

This policy applies to the Sheaf macOS app (“Sheaf”, “the app”), published by Adfinium (“we”, “us”). It explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information.

What we collect

Nothing. Sheaf does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data or usage data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and no advertising. We have no servers that receive anything from the app.

Your files

Sheaf only ever accesses the specific file you open or drag into the window, and it only writes split output to the folder you explicitly choose. All reading and splitting happens locally on your Mac. Your files, and their contents, are never uploaded, transmitted or seen by us or anyone else.

Settings stored on your device

Sheaf remembers a few preferences — your chosen theme, view mode and language — using the standard macOS settings store on your own Mac. These stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. Removing the app removes them.

Network connections

Sheaf makes no network connections of any kind. It works fully offline, and is sandboxed by macOS without any network entitlement.

Third parties

Sheaf contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting frameworks. No data is shared with any third party, because none is collected.

Children

Sheaf is safe for users of any age. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the date below. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
